Math word problem help?????

The only thing that has changed is the elevation of the graph, which has gone up 8 units. In any equation, the 'naked number' adding or subtracting to the x-term determines where your graph will cross the y-axis. Since the new function ends in +5, it crosses the y-axis at 5. If it was originally 8 units lower before the move, the graph would have crossed the y-axis at -3. This means that the original function would have ended in -3, which means J is the correct answer.
