How do we deal with this really unexpected death?

Last night my uncle was flown to hospital (he was working in the outback at the time) because he had suffered a stroke. He was put in an induced coma, but later became brain dead. They decided to switch off his life support, because there's just no quality in life when your in a vegetative state. It's just so unexpected and shocking, and my poor aunty is devastated, they were extremely close and were making big plans and dreams for their future. How do we deal with this as a family? I can't believe this has happened
