Gated apartment near Phoenix, AZ?

Does anyone know of a 24 hr gated apartment near Tempe/Mesa/Gilbert? Many complexes advertise "gated" or "controlled-access", but they leave the gate open all day. I'm concerned about break-ins/vehicle theft because anyone can get in during the day.
