What do you call someone who is from France, England, Poland etc.?

Someone from Italy is an Italian, someone from Spain is a Spaniard, but what is someone from England, Poland, France, Ireland, Scotland etc.? Sure, there's "The French", "The English", but how do you say that in singular form? Englian? Frenchy? Polandian?
