Think about what daily life was like for people 3,000 years ago, or even 200 years ago?

Life was brutal and often short. Not just the absence of technology, but no plumbing, and no anesthesia for operations or dental problems. No health care system, or public school system, or prison system. It was harsh, and that is why we often have difficulty understanding the events described in the Bible or the actions of God in Biblical history.
