Re: Portland Oregon?

I was just in Portland for a wedding (and a last minute opportunity for an interview for my ideal job in which I have all the qualifications they're looking for...finally!) for the past 6 days, and I have to say, this is the coolest, friendliest, most laid back city I have ever been in, outside of Canada. I am surprised with the hospitality of not only my best friends other friends but of complete strangers! In milwaukee WI where I live, I expect rudeness, and car honking to get you to hurry up, or aggressive cab drivers, etc, but I've experienced none of that. Strangers hold doors open there, and smile, and say thank you. Needless to say, I'm hoping to get the job, and planning my move! I'm interested in knowing of any predominantly black churches in the area, or where I can go socially, on weekend nights? My buddies are cool, but I'd also like to know where black folks and other people of color hang out at. (NO thug places, please). Any advice? Intelligent replies only.....Thanks
